Our Native American Pow-Wow!

On Monday of this week all of the Kindergarten classes got together and we each did a dance around the teepee at our Native American pow-wow!  The kids had a great time dressing up and performing for each other!  Here are some pictures of the students decorating their vests!

After lunch we went next door to Mrs. Thomas's class and the fun got started!

Ms. Suarez and I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving and we look forward to seeing all of our friends back at school on Monday!

Pattern Making Fun!

We have been working very hard during our math center time lately learning how to make patterns!  We have been working mostly on AB and ABC patters and the kids are having a great time making them and breaking them apart and putting them back together again!  Here are a few pictures of the wonderful patterns that were created!

Aw Shucks!

Last Monday our class got to go on our field trip to Aw Shucks corn maze in Monroe!  We had a great time going through the corn maze, petting and feeding some animals, and learning about the way people used to farm vegetables!  Here are a few pictures from our trip!

The first thing we did was get to go on a hay ride all around the farm.  We saw a few animals and lots of corn while we were on the ride!

Mrs. Bonnie taught about the way that farmers used to get corn from the fields and everything that they would use the corn for.  We also learned how many foods that we eat contain corn too!

One of our favorite parts of the trip was getting to pet and feed the animals!  We got to feed three sheep and two goats and we also got to see a pig and some wild turkeys!

We all had a great time on the trip and we look forward to our next trip that we will take!
